Actress, singer, and songwriter Giselle D'Arc was born Giselle Camille Prugnard in France, where she was raised. A gifted soprano vocalist with a five-octave range, D'Arc often performed opera. D'Arc sang at Notre-Dame in Paris, and, after moving to the United States, had a run at The Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas during its heyday.While she was recording at Liberty Records, actor Jeff Chandler brought D'Arc to the attention of director-producer George Sidney, which led to her being cast in Columbia Films' biopic Jeanne Eagles.
