Jean-Philippe Heon was born in Avranches, on 16th March, 1985 where he grew up in a small village, not far from the Mont St Michel. In 2005, he travelled to Paris and became a fitness instructor in Aquaboulevard of Paris. During his spare time, Jean-Philippe attended several acting courses and studied method acting. He starred in various short films in Paris until 2009, where Jean-Philippe moved to Rio de Janeiro for 6 months where he studied Portuguese whilst attending theatre classes. It was here he met director Stephanie Lamorre and was asked to be her assistant on her upcoming project in Los Angeles entitled "Far From Heaven" a documentary about female gangsters residing in Los Angeles. This was to be his first project behind the camera. In 2010, Jean-Philippe moved to London, to continue acting at the "City Lit Covent Garden Acting School", where he learned the Stanislavski method. After 2 years studying in London, he travelled back to Paris in 2013 and was cast in a French comedy series "Lazy Company", where he played a surly military officer. "Lazy Company" won a gold Pyrenees for best series at the Luchon Film Festival and was nominated at the International Festival of Monte Carlo in 2013. After the series success, Jean-Philippe travelled to Australia, where he worked on several more short films by Australian directors, including the lead role on "Mysterious Artist" (2014). During that time, he became a cattle man which including mastering the skill of riding horses, one of his best personal experiences in life. In 2014, Jean-Philippe made the move from Sydney to Melbourne, where he resides, to undertake work on more corporate and media projects including short films, tv, series and a documentary about immigration in Melbourne.
