Marlisa was born and bred in sunny South Africa to a Spanish mother (Granada, Spain) and South African father of French Huguenots decent.. hence the surname, 'Doubell'. In 2000, Marlisa trained at the Academy of Live & Recorded Arts in Wandsworth, London. Following graduation she continued to live and work in London as a 'jobbing actor' for several years. Her London work experience served as a strong foundation in theatre and independent film. In 2004 she acquired her UK 'Qualified Teacher Status' specializing in Drama & English. In 2006, Marlisa returned home to live in Cape Town (most breathtakingly beautiful city in the world!) and continues to enjoy work in the film industry. As well as a passion for traveling, Marlisa enjoys learning and completed a BA degree in Psychology via part time correspondence. Hide
