Twisted Dreamscapes Productions and Sweetest Knightmares Cosplay was founded by Phillip Yarbrough in 2011. Mr. Yarbrough has lived in Corpus Christi Texas most of his life. He began fabricating costumes and doing makeup at 11 years old because his family couldn't afford to buy costumes. As the years progressed, people began to ask him to fabricate costumes for them, and the beginnings of the company began to manifest. After joining a local haunted house group, he took his art to new levels by refining his makeup skills, prop building skills, set design skills, costume skills, and found a love for one thing above all else scaring people. As the years continued to move on, he met more like minded individuals, and in 2009 attended his first Convention. Every year, upon returning to RealmsCon, he scared more people, and began to establish himself in the convention community. People asked him how he did the makeup, made the costumes, the props, but due to the demands of the club he was currently in, he didn't have time to tell them. He finally decided to break away from that club and establish his own business. Mr. Yarbrough founded the cosplay group in order to facilitate a way for himself and some friends to be able to Cosplay at conventions in a group setting so they could have more fun. The business side has 47 members that include makeup artists, costume fabricators, blacksmiths, and prop builders. The cosplay side is nearly 200+ strong in volunteer cosplayers spread out through southern Texas. Additionally, Twisted Dreamscapes Productions has played a part in a few films in Corpus Christi, Tx, including the feature film "The Violent States of America" which will be released in early 2014.
