Shame is a struggling private dick whose career was destroyed after he became involved with a woman while tailing a Latin American drug lord. When the case is reopened because the presumed-dead drug lord is discovered to be still alive, they need Shame's help to bring the drug lord down.

Wayans the screenwriter is largely to blame for the film's shortcomings, but Wayans the director does a solid job.
