Mary Barnes returns to London to visit Jane and her brother Michael, who is now the father of three children, living in difficult conditions during the Depression. The family story tells of Mary's visit to her relatives, as her family is going through very difficult family circumstances, but Mary's return will help them uncover the points of happiness again.
