A young boyis trapped in monster maze. Like other young people dumped there before him, he has no memory of his past life. Thomas rapidly turns out to be a piece of the gathering and not long after exhibits a remarkable point of view that scores him an advancement to Runner status - the individuals who watch the continually changing labyrinth to discover an escape course. Together with Teresa (Kaya Scodelario), the main female, Thomas tries to persuade his companions that he knows an exit plan.
