This film explores a special look on the author Tolkien who lived through more difficult experiences. It is a dramatic look at those formative years of the orphaned author Tolkien where he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of colleagues. These events bow to a different view through the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear apart the fellowship through those experiments that would inspire Tolkien to write his famous novels.
