The series tells of a series of events related to the story of a former criminal returning to his home in the village of Orville, where there are many secrets that were revealed in that town during the investigation of its strange inhabitants. On the other hand, the investigation reveals a half-human called Tidelanders which makes many things turn over again.

A TV-MA take on mermaid lore, Tidelands is a completely serviceable drama series. It's average in most places and slightly above average in others... If you're into lots of violence, sex and nudity set to the backdrop of mermaids, give it a shot.

For all of its unnecessary violence and bizarrely place nudity, Tidelands is strangely boring. It has no verve, not even a crazy, ridiculous one - at least that would have been entertaining.
