Due to the surrealness of the show it sometimes gets unfairly dismissed as a stoner comedy. Other than being untrue, it is also a disservice to the quality of writing and acting that goes into it.

Some parents might wonder why this show is funny at all, since it really doesn't make any sense. But maybe the randomness is part of its charm. As a programming choice for kids, ATHF isn't the best.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force was a show about nothing... "nothing" as a kind of earnest hopelessness, an anticipation of meaning that seems forthcoming but which never actually arrives.

It's a seriously acquired taste and some of you will think it's utterly insipid. But if you get its humor, the show is a total riot.
