At the beginning of the second season, Harry seems to be quite different in that period. Harry may not have been as he was since meeting with the masked villain, as he and Mel are forced to go on an old-fashioned journey. The trip aims to search for demons who are trying to extinguish all the witches at once.

Aside from a few easter egg callbacks to the original series, the new Charmed has solidified itself as an original show. Everything is changed in this first episode of the new season, the themes are much darker, and the stakes are more intense.
