Season 8 returns to complete the series of dramatic dramas through Rooney and his new partner Joe Hawkins, who came from the Child Protection Unit. Both begin to investigate a heinous murder where the hands of the victims have been removed in mysterious circumstances. One of the dead men is Harry Bernstein, and claims suspicion about his wife Lindsay.
