Season 5 is complemented by Noah, Margaret and Stacey who are entering into a new collaboration but their mutual dislike for Sasha remains quite constant. Meanwhile, Noah is trying to sabotage the relationship Helen and Sasha recently discovered, and Whitney and Colin face new difficulties in their lives, especially as their relationship develops regularly. Joan decided to visit the cemetery in that period in order to achieve a certain goal.

I'd probably follow these characters (even Whitney) for an indefinite number of seasons - partly because of the sucker that I am, but also because "The Affair" can never be completely considered down for the count.

Tierney's performance as Helen is what really anchors this season and makes it as watchable as it is.

"The Affair" began at the "End" - Montauk - five seasons ago, and ends at The End. This seems exactly right.

The Affair has always been a fascinating show to watch because much like its characters, it has never feared following its instincts down the wildest paths possible, even if those instincts lead to some terrible choices.
