In the second season, we list a series of exciting and surprising events. Elizabeth and the administration of President Dalton face hostility because of dealing with the Russian government. On the other hand, Dmitri is kidnapped and questioned because of doubts about being a Russian spy. With regard to the process of negotiating the safe return of a State Department employee kidnapped in Afghanistan, Elizabeth receives advice from former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and ignores President Dalton's recommendation.
