Meanwhile, things turn out to be a bad course when Ricky's trips have unexpected consequences for his relationship with Damon at that time.

It's...struggling to capture the tone or spirit of the series, so that even while there are fascinating elements about how the queer, and more specifically the transgender community, is treated by the police, 'Butterfly/Cocoon' never quite comes together.
